Our volunteers are at the heart of what we do

From talking to people about their experiences of health and social care, to taking part in our panels and partnerships, volunteers are vital to our work. Whether you have a few hours to spare or are looking for a regular commitment, we've got a volunteering role to suit you.

Current volunteering opportunities

Take a look at some of our current volunteering opportunities:

  • Adult Social Care Citizen Panel - To improve adult social care, we need to understand people's experiences of using services and support. That's where our Panel members come in. In attending our meetings to discuss issues with local service providers and managers, you will play a crucial role in improving social care services.
  • Enter and View volunteers - To get a first hand look at how health and social care services are running, we train some volunteers to go into services and ask people about their experiences of them, like a care home. This includes observing how the service runs, talking to patients, carers and staff, and contributing to a report about your visit.
  • Maternity and Neonatal Partnership - Are you interested in improving local maternity and neonatal services? This partnership is for you. You will work with commissioners and providers – midwives and doctors – coming together to review and contribute to the development of local maternity care.
  • Mental Health Community Panel - This Panel works to improve local mental health services. The people who develop, manage, and run those services work with us, and local people share ideas and suggestions to decide what issues the panel looks at and how it works.

Not found a role that suits you? We're always keen to hear from people who have new skills to offer us. If that's you, get in touch.
