Tell us your experience with the Patient Transport Service

Getting to appointments shouldn’t be a challenge. But for many, changes to patient transport eligibility last year have made it harder. If you’ve been affected in the past year, we’d really like to hear from you.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service Patient Transport Service Bus

As an independent organisation, we are asking about your experience of the Patient Transport Service and whether recent changes to eligibility criteria have affected access. We can share this with NHS leaders and other decision makers to help improve the standard of care in your local area.

What is the Patient Transport Service?

The Patient Transport Service provides NHS funded transport for people who are unable to travel to their healthcare appointments by any other means due to their need for a specially adapted vehicle, specialist equipment, or the skills of trained staff during the journey. The Yorkshire Ambulance Service runs our local Patient Transport Service, which carries out almost a million non-emergency journeys every year.
