NHS England commissions some services, such as specialised services, health and justice healthcare services and military healthcare.

NHS England is also responsible for all activities previously undertaken by Health Education England. This includes more than 100 programmes from planning and commissioning to recruiting and developing healthcare staff in a range of healthcare and community settings.

How to contact NHS England

The NHS England contact centre is available from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday, except Wednesdays when they open at a later time of 9.30 am. They are closed on bank holidays.
