Local Learning Disability Week Award nominations open

As part of the preparations for Learning Disability Week this year, Wakefield Council’s Adult Social Care Team are pleased to open nominations for the Marie Gibb Award.
A group of young people with learning disabilities

This special award celebrates people who make a positive difference to the lives of people with a learning disability.

You can nominate:

  • an individual
  • a group or team
  • a worker or professional
  • a person with a learning disability

If you know someone who goes above and beyond, supports others, or helps make our community a better place, they would love to hear from you.
