Healthwatch Wakefield launches new digital health and care project
But everyone's experience is different.
Recent figures from Good Things Foundation show that only 1 in 3 adults are comfortably online, while 34 million adults are online with some barriers or vulnerabilities. Around 8 million adults lack basic digital skills, and 40% of adults are worried about being left behind as more services move online.
We want to hear what you think
We want to hear from people across Wakefield District about their experiences of using digital health and care services.
We want to know:

- What works well for you
- What could be improved
- Whether you feel confident using digital services
- What support might help people get the most from digital technology
- How people would like to access health and care services in the future

Digital health services should work for people
The importance of getting digital services right is clear. 73% of UK adults think digital inclusion should be part of how public services are designed, while 82% think everyone should have the skills and access needed to use the NHS App safely and confidently.
We know that digital services can bring real benefits. Good Things Foundation reports that 74% of people supported through digital inclusion say online tools help them manage their health, while 82% say the internet helps them connect with friends and family.
Whether you use digital services every day, occasionally, or prefer other ways of accessing health and care, we want to hear from you.
By listening to local people, we want to build a better understanding of what is working well and what could make digital health and care services easier, more useful, and more accessible.
